We’re looking for California-registered AMFTs (1500+ hours) who are passionate about treating attachment trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship patterns, and who want to grow within a collaborative, values-aligned virtual practice.
AMFT/APCC Job Description
Insight for Growth is a growing boutique virtual group psychotherapy practice dedicated to helping adults, couples, and families heal from Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN) and related attachment wounds. Our work is relational, trauma-informed, and depth-oriented, with an emphasis on emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and developing a healthier relationship with oneself and others.
CEN isn’t just about what did happen—it’s about what didn’t happen, repeatedly, during sensitive periods of early childhood development. It reflects the absence of essential attachment experiences needed to build emotional circuitry. One of the most challenging aspects of CEN is its invisibility. Many adults with CEN appear high-functioning, capable, and successful, yet internally feel disconnected from their emotions, uncertain of their needs, and deeply lonely, often struggling to make sense of their distress.
At Insight for Growth, our mission is to interrupt this cycle—supporting clients in developing emotional literacy, relational security, and a stronger inner foundation, while helping to build more emotionally resilient adults, couples, and families for future generations.
We are seeking compassionate, motivated Associate Marriage & Family Therapists (AMFTs) to join our growing team. This is a part-time, fully remote position with a flexible schedule, ideal for associates who are looking for high-quality supervision, a supportive clinical community, and the opportunity to deepen their clinical skills with an aligned client population.
Clinicians provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy via telehealth; conduct intake assessments; develop treatment plans; and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation. Clinicians participate in weekly individual and group supervision, case consultation, and ongoing professional development within a collaborative and respectful environment.
We offer a virtual group practice model that includes BBS-compliant supervision by a licensed LMFT, client referrals and marketing support, and opportunities for both clinical and professional growth. Our aim is to support associates not only in accruing hours toward licensure, but in developing clinical confidence, sound judgment, and a sustainable professional identity.
Qualifications include: registration as an AMFT in California with 1,500+ hours of experience; a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy or a related field; successful completion of the CA Law & Ethics Exam; active malpractice insurance; strong interpersonal and communication skills; and comfort using telehealth platforms and EHR systems. Experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship concerns, and training in trauma-informed psychotherapy modalities, is preferred.
If you’re seeking a values-aligned practice where depth, supervision, and meaningful work matter, we’d love to connect.
Let’s work together.
